About Me
I’m Barbara J.C. Musch, and I’m a freelance artist living and working in southeastern Minnesota. I love the expression and challenge of making art, be it great new product designs or custom fine art.
As a Senior-level product designer, I have two decades of experience in the strange and wonderful world of giftware. I have created everything from Christmas ornaments to candle holders, from graphics to garden frogs, from nature-inspired collections to full nativity sets. I love to create characters customers resonate with, and I love merging my creative ideas with the enormous capabilities of Adobe Creative Suite.
In addition to keeping my “design chops” in good form, I also love to paint, having studied painting and color theory at Macalester College in St. Paul. I’ve also studied atelier-style oil painting with artist Pat Jerde of the Minnesota River School. In all my work, I tap my fine-arts roots and my lifelong love of both color and visual storytelling.
